Falcon Inflatables (known as Infanta Inflatables 1985-1995) was born as
a hobby of owner Marius Heyneman. The passion for boating started in the
late 1970's - river racing was followed by offshore racing in the early
1980's.
With a mutiple race-winning trackrecord, in 1985 the first Infanta
Inflatable boat was assembled in Swellendam, approximately 200km East of
Cape Town South Africa.

The business grew. During the early 1990's, the Infanta brandname was
sold, excluding designs, to continue as Falcon Inflatables (export
label), operating the factory for the first time all under one roof. The
resultant increase in quality control turned Falcon into a world-class
product, widely considered as one of the highest quality manufacturers
in Southern Africa.

The passion for racing returned early in the present century - and this
time Falcon completely dominated RIB racing, winning every race entered,
until this racing class was abandoned in South Africa.

Racing grew and Marius' designs became race winners - Falcon's took the
first 5 positions of the toughest inflatable race in the world, the
1000km Trans Agulhas challenge, for the first 5 years in a row (before
withdrawing from racing) - this record remains undefeated.
The first Falcon 5m semi-rigid inflatable was launched in 1989 and had a
point to prove - with adventurist Mike Baker at the helm it navigated
the entire South African coastline - the only inflatable boat to ever
achieve this.

The present day Falcon family consists of Marius, his wife and three
sons. We share a common goal
design the most efficient hulls, and to manufacture the safest, most
durable, highest
quality rigid inflatable boat fleet in the world, using the latest
technologies and materials available.

Thousands of Falcon RIBs are in use with Governments, Conservancies,
Police/Military patrol, Rescue services, and of course many
satisfied recreational customers globally. A Falcon is designed to
outperform and outlast the competition. All products are manufactured to the international ISO 6185-3 standard
and carry a 5 year warranty.
There are many inflatable boat manufacturers throughout the world
staking claims to their product superiority – we would like you to
decide for yourself. All we can say is that once you have been on a
Falcon, you will realize just how capable and hassle-free an inflatable
boat can really be. |
